| LaoZhan, Atang, brother Liu, XiaoXu were four college students without jobs who had different situation at present. Brother Liu attended the War of Resistance against Japan for devoting himself to the national salvation movement. XiaoXu had no confidence in himself with low spirits and wanted to commit suicide who was rescued by LaoZhao and went back country. They were acquainted each other by chance. Later, LaoZhao and Atang ran across her whom was almost assailed by a gangster, whom they drove away. Because of this, LaoZhao and YangZhi ying fell in love. But soon after, the textile mill went into bankrupt where she worked at. So she and her friend sister Tao lost job. She made a message for LaoZhao and ran away because she didn't want to affect his life, however LaoZhao was dismissed by the newspaper office. When sister Yao took back YangZhi ying, they met with LaoZhao and Atang among the throne. The newspaper carried the news that XiaoXu committed suicide and brother Liu struggled at the most front line of the War of Resistance against Japan. Four of them dispatched to the front. |
