Even though Zhang Ting, manager of the Big Dipper basketball team, has hired some of the most accomplished players in the league, the team continues to lose. With the number of spectators gradually decreasing, the head coach resigns after another frustrating loss against the rival basketball team in Beijing. In an attempt to lure audiences back to the games, Zhang hires Wen Jie, one of the star players from the Olympic-winning women's basketball team, as the new head coach. Although the fans eagerly return to the Big Dippers' games, it is only through the leadership of Wen and genuine team spirit that the Big Dippers finally end their losing streak.
