The film is about a village postman and his delicate relations with
his son.
The village postman delivers letters and newspapers in the mountain
area by foot. Day after day, year after year, he comes and goes,
comes and goes... Although the work is monotonous, the postman never
complains. In his eyes, the tedious work proves his worthiness to
the society.
The postman's son, although eager to leave the mountain home, fails
to pass the college examination. With little choice, he comes back
to his father. At this time, the postman grows older and weaker.
Feeling that he can no longer handle the daily delivery, the postman
asks his son to take over his role. From that day on, the son begins
to deliver letters and newspapers door to door in the mountain region.
On the first day the son takes the position, his father insists
to escort him. From one village to another, the two do the job together
but seldom talk to each other. There seems to have a thin wall that
separates them. In a small village, the son sees a beautiful girl,
but has to leave under his father's pressure. Gradually, the father
starts to understand his son, and regrets what he did to his wife
for decades.
On the muddy and narrow road of mountain villages, father and son
break the silence at last...
